Plot Twist: Origins of Maya, Tricks of Consciousness & How We Frame Awakening

How the Rig Veda Originally Defined Maya, and Why It's Important

We’re Not “Lost,” We’re Just Playing Divine Hide-and-Seek

Hey there, Divine Presence,

In your 'human' awareness, have you ever wondered whether you’re failing at spirituality because you still don’t “get it”?

Has it ever felt like there’s a thick veil (Maya) hiding your true nature, and you’re just not tearing it down fast enough?

Check this out! 👇

The version of Maya that says we need to dissolve our ego and realize ultimate God / Oneness pronto pups, or else we didn't, won't or can't ascend is not what the word originally meant.

In the earliest Rig Veda, Maya didn’t mean “illusion” or “deception.”

It meant “Extraordinary Power,” “Wisdom,” and “Creative Magic.” ✨

It was the divine tech used by gods like Varuna to measure the stars and Indra to shape-shift. It wasn’t a bug in the system; it was the system’s greatest feature.

💡 Why This Matters for US, Now
If Maya is originally intended to mean “creative power,” then our confusion around 'who we are' and 'what we're supposed to do spiritually' isn’t a failure. It’s the Absolute playing at being limited.

  • The fact that You (Infinite) can convincingly pretend to be “You” (a human wondering “Who am I?”) is a miracle, not a mistake.
  • You aren’t lost in a dark forest; you’re deeply immersed in a game of Divine Hide-and-Seek.

🧘‍♂️ How to Relax Into It Right Now
Instead of fighting the “illusion,” try this:

  1. Acknowledge the Power: When anxiety hits, say: “Wow, this is Maya. This is the Infinite flexing its creative muscles.”
  2. Drop the Timeline: Stop thinking you “should” be enlightened by now. There is nowhere to go. The peace you seek is already the background of your question.
  3. Rest as the Observer: You are not the confused character; you are the screen on which the movie plays.

What does ego dissolution really mean? Did we overcomplicate the idea of detachment from ego? By dissolution of the 'self' or 'ego,' we mean the dissolution of identification with the conditioning of the mind. When we no longer identify with the conditioned beliefs about ourselves, the world and one another, then it is no longer possible to take things poisonally. That's right. When we are 'unconditioned,' we simply see life as it is, and experience peace. When we make things 'mean...

The couple melts the cage of ancient Karma through awareness

Before replying in a charged moment... Melt the Cage Made of Framing Words In everyday life, how reactive we are in different circumstances will fluctuate. Setting up our day with positive thoughts as we wake will soften the entire day's vibrations. But moments arise that trigger a reaction, and it is super hard not to respond, especially when a sore spot is touched emotionally. This is when the body might tighten, and old evidence from similar past situations will surface, leading to...

Shareable Waves & Nested Interlocking Reality Fields Co-creating Reality Fields Is One of the Big Reasons We Came To Earth Within our larger world are countless smaller “shared reality fields”: families, friendships, communities, political identities, professions, cultures, relationships, spiritual paths, emotional states, and internal belief systems. These fields overlap and interact continuously. We may belong to several of them at once. In my latest article, I call this an interlocking...
